From Cove Beach to Grand Central

Hey Everyone... Well again time seems to fly by when you're having fun and as much as it bothered me that it was the end of September last week it's now October. You think a person would get used to this time thing... well at least it feels like October. Anyway, I had a wonderful engagement portrait session this past weekend at Cove Beach in Stamford with an adorable couple... Mike and Christina. The two are very much in love as you will see... and despite Mike's kind of tough guy thing... there's a real softie inside... and Christina has the greatest laugh. I really look forward to photographing their wedding for them next May as I know it will be a very special occasion and a lot of fun!

BTW... their wedding colors are purple and green... will be beautiful for a May wedding!

Another fun shoot I got to do this past week was in Grand Central Station.
I got to photograph the Metropolitones, performing as part of the MTA's arts series:
New York City's premier Seven Sisters a cappella group

I will be adding video soon... you need to hear how wonderful they sound!

How did it get to be September 23rd already?

As the title of this blog states I can't believe it's almost the end of September already. How did that happen? Both of my boys are back in school... and am back to working on several of those new projects I had put off until the far off fall... notably my new line of cards. As it happens I read Mark Twain's autobiography over the summer and fell in love with some of his quotes. One thing led to another and let's just say I went a little quote crazy. So... I will put this out there... if you have a favorite quote for a card... please send it to me and I will look to put it to use!

First things first... I shot a beautiful wedding at St. Mary's in downtown Stamford. The bride was beautiful... the groom was handsome and the flowers by Stamford Florist were amazing (www.stamfordflorist.com) I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

beautiful boutonniere ... from Stamford Florist...

Groomsmen helping each other out... I love it...

Even the horses seemed happy... is it my imagination or is that horse posing?

Also, I had some great new photo shoots... one with a cutting edge author:

Kaihan Krippendorff

This was a photo shoot for the book jacket photo for his new book:
"Out Think The Competition"

As well as a wonderful family portrait session with Corina and family:

This is our friend bear... who often helps us sit up...
or in this case he looks to be giving advice...

One last thing to post this morning as I attempt to catch up... my new greeting card line... they are matted and mounted 4x6 prints... beautiful quality photographs and ready for sending or framing. I sell them as is or six to a box and will have them on my www.photographsbykimanderson.com website any day now... or in time for the holidays! They are really fun as gifts...and don't forget to send me your quotes! I currently have about 180 images but here are a few examples:

How time flies...

Wow, wow... how time flies when you're having fun. Just thought I'd do a quick re-cap concerning my photo adventures over the last month. Since I've been expanding my wedding and event business my subject's have been varied and I've had so much fun being on my creative toes... so to speak. I've done everything from senior portraits to beautiful new babies... a CEO head hunter and an actual wedding or two! Since a picture is worth a thousand words... I'll  post a couple of highlights here and stop typing.

Victoria & Nicholas
(otherwise known as Vicky and Nick)

I had so much fun photographing this wedding... and as usual I could post picturs all day! I can never pick out my favorites... it takes me forever so I will show some self control and stop here... but if you want to see more I have posted them on my wedding and event site: http://www.aboutyouweddings.com/
Thanks Vicky and Nick for letting me share in your beautiful day!

Beautiful Anna

Again...I could post images from this shoot all day. Even baby Anna crying was adorable... not that she cried that much... but what a cutie.

Beautiful Alexa

 Alexa & her Mom...
Alexa is a senior... going off to college next fall and wanted to have a portrait done with her mother... how fun is that? No Alexa... your mother is not going to forget you... but great job... they ordered a beautiful 16X20 wrap around canvas and I'm sure it will be a beautiful reminder of how important we are to eachother as we move on and through life.
